Invest in the Twin Cities you love.
The Ours to Own initiative allows citizens to invest in small businesses that are creating jobs and building wealth in communities throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul. These investments keep money flowing through the local economy, creating opportunity for our friends, family, and neighbors.
Through our local partner, the Community Reinvestment Fund, USA (CRF) these investments are being targeted to women, minority, and veteran owned business owners who may have struggled to access financing in the past.
Gloria’s business, Olu’s Home, is a licensed care organization that provides residential and in-home services to the elderly and persons with developmental disabilities or mental illness. Olu’s promotes an integrated and holistic approach, rooted in the belief that “we all have the right to a fulfilling life – to be happy, whole, and accomplished individuals.”
As a result of the Ours to Own initiative and through her relationship with the Community Reinvestment Fund, USA, Gloria has received financing to purchase a new facility that will allow her to expand significantly. She now employs nearly 100 people, serving clients across both Hennepin and Ramsey counties.
Without the generous support of the Kresge Foundation, the creative storytellers of Free Range Studios, or the caring, smart and persevering staff at the Community Reinvestment Fund, USA, none of this would be possible. Thank you for your partnership!
